Correspondence clerk (Federal Government)
Terms of Employment: Temporary, Full Time, Day
Salary: $14.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Ottawa Centre, Ontario (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Some high school
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Languages: Speak English, Speak French, Read English, Read French, Write English, Write French
Work Setting: Private and public sector offices
Business Equipment and Computer Applications: IBM compatible, Computer terminal, WordPerfect, MS Word, Windows
Typing (Words Per Minute): 41 – 60 wpm
Area of Specialization: Correspondence, Proofreading, Editorial assistance
Specific Skills: Write and edit advertising copy, Proofread data, Write routine business and government correspondence
Additional Skills: Reply to requests for information, Detect and mark any grammatical or typographical errors for correction
Security and Safety: Secret clearance
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines
Other Information:Previous experience in a government department. Experience using WebCIMS
