Main functions
Under the authority of the Information Technologies Coordinator for Alcoa Forged and Cast Products in Laval, the incumbent of this novice-level position will act as contact person for technical support and computer system maintenance for both the offices and the factory. Responsibilities: – Install and adjust personal computers (PC); – Provide computer support to users; – Repair and maintain the computer components; – Install and update software; – Manage user accounts; – Service and maintain printers and photocopiers; – Service and maintain the phone system; – Manage equipment; – Manage software licensing; – Train; – Contribute to ensuring that reports and compliance testing meet our corporate standards. – Contribute to all other activities considered necessary for meeting the company’s objectives. Qualifications and Experience: – Post-secondary studies in computer science; – Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills; – Bilingual; – Results-oriented and capable of ongoing and flexible training; – Experience in Windows XP support in Windows Server Active Directory environment; – Experience in Microsoft Office suite support; – Experience in TCP/IP network support; – Experience in Visual Basic language programming an asset.

Collegial, Post-secondary studies in computer science.
