Freight receiver

Skill Requirements:
Education: Some high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required
Experience: Experience an asset
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Work Setting: Retail and wholesale distribution center
Type of Equipment: Pallet lifters, Dollies and hand trucks
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Specific Skills: Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, Maintain internal record-keeping system, Record shortages and reject damaged goods, Route goods to appropriate storage areas, Unpack goods received, Affix identifying information and shipping instructions on shipments, Oversee loading and unloading of goods
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Attention to detail, Repetitive tasks
Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available
