Monitoring station operator (Customer Service Representative)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Shift, Overtime, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening
Salary: $10.00 to $13.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Toronto Centre, Ontario (2 vacancies )
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required
Experience: Will train
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Business Equipment and Computer Applications: Windows, Monitoring and tracking software
Work Setting: Emergency Services, Private sector
Type of service experience: 911, Alarm systems, Security
Dispatcher Specific Skills: Operate computer-aided communications and dispatching equipment, Receive requests for emergency assistance or service, Process and transmit information and instructions, Act as liaison between customers and drivers, Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders, Dispatch personnel as required by emergency situations, Maintain operator work records, Follow-up on issues with work orders
Additional Skills: Maintain work records and logs, Ensure accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll and other summaries, Perform general office duties, Ensure proper functioning of equipment, Provide customer service
Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, Attention to detail
Work Site Environment: Non-smoking
Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence, Own vehicle, Public transportation is available
Other Languages: Cantonese, Mandarin
Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning
