Registered practical nurse (ON) (community nursing)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Part Time, Shift, Weekend, Day, Evening
Salary: $30.00 Hourly for 20 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Licensure by the appropriate province or territory of work, Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate, First Aid Certificate
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Work Setting: Home care or visiting care agency
Registered Nursing Assistant Specific Skills: Distribute medication to patients, Bathe and dress patients
Additional Skills: Monitor patients’ progress and report any changes
Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Child abuse registry check, Immunization records, Tuberculosis test
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Walking
Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence, Own transportation
Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use
Other Information:Experience with tracheotomy patient care is a must.
