Registered practical nurse (ON)
Terms of Employment: Casual, Part Time, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening
Salary: $17.43 Hourly for 15 hours per week, As per collective agreement
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Skill Requirements:

Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Licensure by the appropriate province or territory of work, Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate
Experience: Experience an asset
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Work Setting: Home for the aged
Area of Specialization: Geriatrics
Registered Nursing Assistant Specific Skills: Take patients’ blood pressure, temperature and pulse, Distribute medication to patients
Additional Skills: Monitor patients’ progress and report any changes
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking
Essential Skills: Reading text, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Continuous learning
