Skill Requirements:

Education: Completion of high school, Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Experience: Experience an asset
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Work Setting: Women’s clothing store
Business Equipment and Computer Applications: Point of sale system, Electronic scheduler, Word processing software, Database software, Inventory control software, Basic computer skills (will train), General office equipment, Computerized bookkeeping systems
Staff Responsibility: 1 – 20
Specific Skills: Plan, direct and evaluate daily operations, Manage staff and assign duties, Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors’ operations on sales, Implement price and credits policies, Balance daily transactions, Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses, Determine staffing requirements, Recruit and train staff, Prepare reports regarding sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters, Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints and supply shortages, Authorize payments by cheque and the return of merchandise, Customer service oriented
Security and Safety: Bondable

Ability to Supervise: 5 – 10 people, Staff in various areas of responsibility
