Taxi dispatcher

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Shift, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening

Salary: $10.00 Hourly for 35 hours per week, Group Insurance Benefits

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Barrie, Ontario (1 vacancy)

Skill Requirements:

Education: Completion of high school

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required

Experience: Will train

Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English

Business Equipment and Computer Applications: Windows, General office equipment

Work Setting: Transportation

Type of service experience: Taxi

Dispatcher Specific Skills: Operate computer-aided communications and dispatching equipment, Process and transmit information and instructions, Act as liaison between customers and drivers, Record mileage, fuel use, repairs and other expenses

Radio Operator Specific Skills: Operate radio equipment

Additional Skills: Maintain work records and logs, Perform general office duties, Light cleaning duties, Provide customer service

Security and Safety: Bondable

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Attention to detail

Work Site Environment: Non-smoking

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence, Own transportation, Public transportation is not available
